I’ve been here for a week and a half now and it’s certainly been an experience. I’ve definitely had to get used to the driving and parking in LA. Here’s a photo of my view from my apartment, very different from my city view in NYC. I joke with my roommate that I live in the country and it makes her
mad…but compared to NYC, this is the Boonies.
Well, I’m the type of person that doesn’t waste time, so I hit the ground running once I got here. So far I’ve met 4 casting directors, gone to some workshops, sent out a ton of mailings to agents, and auditioned for one pilot. To top it off, I was working with Bella Agency in NYC for commercial print, so I met with the LA team last week and I’m really excited so say that they want to represent me out here too. Yea! Not too bad for the first 10 days
I’ve also been auditing acting coaches in LA and so far I really like Annie Grindlay. She has a technique that makes sense to me. I have a private coaching session with her later today to work on a scene for some upcoming casting director workshop. So that’s the latest…keep your fingers crossed for me.
